A leading UK-based ISV for Agriculture business.

Business need
The client has been using hand-held computers (HHCs) to collect data from the field and transferring it over serial port to the master database at regular intervals. The output database from each HHC has to be consolidated into a single suspense database, after applying a set of rules. Performance of this rule-engine is critical, as it dictates the integrity of the suspense database. The requirements for this project were:

	Evaluate alternative approaches for implementing the rule-engine for best performance, and
	Implement the rule-engine for merging all the HHC databases to a single suspense database
