Sonata used Microsoft's SQL Server Migration Assistant (SSMA) tool to migrate its electronic Point of Sales (ePOS) solution targeted towards Sales and Marketing operations of service providers of cellular phones. SSMA generated comprehensive assessment report helped in assessing the complexity, risk and size of the application. With a single click, the tool converted the Database Schema (100%), the application data (100%) and database-resident business logic (99%) automatically. Migration tester was also helpful in automation testing of specific cases. SSMA tool, with automation of all steps in migration, helped us to migrate the database from Oracle to SQL Server in very short time.
